QUEZON CITY, June 30 -- The National Academy of Sports opens its scholarship search for academically competent and exceptional student-athletes from all sectors of the society including indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized groups. 

If you possess the following qualifications:

a. natural-born Filipino citizen

b. currently enrolled as a Grade 6 pupil or a graduate of elementary school at the time of application. For those who are not currently enrolled, evidence of equivalency is required

c. can show evidence of potential in their particular sport

d. not older than 14 years old at the start of the school year

e. can show evidence of being in good health and physical fitness to undergo a rigorous athletic program

The scholarship package includes:

a. Free tuition

b. Free board and lodging at the NAS Dormitory in NAS Campus, New Clark City, Capas, Tarlac

c. Provision of quality secondary education

d. Access to specialized sports training in world-class facilities

e. A chance to represent the country and NAS in international competitions and

exchange programs.

f. Monthly stipend

g. The scholarship grant is for six (6) years subject to the student-athlete's sports

and academic performance.

Application requirements:

a. Fully accomplished NAS Scholarship Application Form (http://bit.ly/NASCENTSASForms2021)

b. Copy of Birth Certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)

c. Copy of Grade 5 and Grade 6 report cards or evidence of equivalency

d. Certificate of Good Moral Character

e. Medical Certificate and Dental Certificate

f. Filled out Student-Athlete's Profile with evidence of participation and/or

achievement/s in any sanctioned national sports competition/s of the DepEd

School Sports Events and Activities Unit (SSEAU), Philippine Sports Commission

(PSC), Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) or National Sports Association

(NSA)

g. Duly Accomplished Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire for Everyone

(PAR-Q+) signed by the parents/guardians

h. Copy of at least one (1) valid ID with signature of the designated guardian
