Social and work-related gatherings in the city need to be monitored, the venue to be inspected by health and barangay or city officials.
This is part of the continuing vigilance against the possible entry of the more transmissible Delta Covid-19 variant, Executive Assistant to Mayor Benjamin Magalong, Atty. Althea Alberto said during the Ugnayan regular media forum last Wednesday at city hall.
For social gatherings; weddings, anniversaries, baptisms, and other functions in venues, inspection by the City Health Services Office (CHSO) is needed, with recommended approval by the City Mayor's Office.
Alberto appealed that application for approval is submitted at the mayor's office least seven days before the gathering.
Venues for work-related gatherings such as meetings, elections and small official groupings need to be inspected by the CHSO, for compliance with the 30% capacity.
Family or household gatherings of not more than 10 individuals shall not need inspections, but barangay officials should be notified, she added.
The minimum health protocols should be followed: the wearing of face mask and shield, hand sanitizing and social distancing, Alberto pointed out.
