Donald Trump, 75, and Mel Gibson, 65, were among those who watch the Ultimate Fighting Championship event "UFC 264" live at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Clark County, Nevada, United States on July 10, 2021. The mixed martial arts event was headlined by Dustin "Diamond" Poirier, 32, of the U.S. and Conor "Notorious" McGregor, 32" of Ireland.
Gibson was caught on camera offering a military-style salute Trump, who was walking past the "UFC 264" crowd. However, it appears that the 45th U.S. president ignored the Hollywood actor despite the honorific gesture.
There is also a possibility that Trump just did not notice Gibson at the time. Either way, the latter is earning a bad reputation online for saluting the former.
In the main event of "UFC 264," McGregor lost to Poirier via technical knockout via doctor stoppage after one 5-minute round. It is unknown who Trump and Gibson rooted for.
