The 75-meter bridge project was now completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH, this will enable tourists to visit and enjoy two popular beach destinations in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental this time no riding of boats needed.

The public now has easier access and option to enjoy the beautiful beach resorts of Sugar and Langub, in Barangay Nauhang now that the bridge is in place.

According to DPWH-Western Visayas regional director Lea Delfinado, the said bridge will link two sitios/zones of the barangay that was separated by a natural waterway that leads to the ocean.

Now that the bridge is completed, travelers will enjoy a more comfortable and convenient means in going to their destinations. A nice improvement to the transportation for the locals, is also expected.

The DPWH Negros Occidental Third District Engineering Office headed by District Engineer Rodney Gustilo, undertook the work load of the said bridge construction.

The said bridge is part of the PHP50-million access road development leading to Sugar Beach Resort and Langub Beach Resort, which is DPWH and the Department of Tourism's convergence project, Engr. Gustilo said.
