FAMILY ORIENTED - Filipino are known for having strong and close family ties. We put so much importance in our family. We work all day and do all we can to feed and provide for our family. In other countries, when a person turn 18years old and above he/she can live away from his/her family. But we Filipinos love our Family, we Value Family so much that we keep them intact through the years.
LOVE AND HAPPINESS - Family is the number one source of filipino Happiness and love. Filipino is a happy person because they are just simple and very easy to be with. What ever problems that they have in their life they can still smile and just ignore or move-on it for a minute of their life. Filipino don't worry too much about their problems.
3. RESPECT - Respect is part of every Filipino Culture. Philippines show their respect to the elders population. Some of the common words for showing respect to the people older than you is using ( PO or OPO ) when you are talking to them, both basically means " YES " in a respectful way.
MANO PO or PAGMAMANO - is a gesture used in Filipino Culture performed as a sign of respect to elders older than you and as a way of accepting a blessing from the elders. Similar to hand kissing, the person giving the greeting bows towards the offered hand of the elder and presses his or her forehead on the elders hand.
HARANA or Serenade - was a traditional form of courtship in the philippines which young men formally meet single lady Visitor, Traditionally the suitors will visit the house of the of the girl he is trying to woo, and sing by her window until she comes out to either accept or deny him. The suitors may or may not be accompanied, but usually his companions is his Family or friends will be playing the guitar and the back up vocals singer.

4. JOY & HUMOR - This famous traits is the ability of filipinos to find humour in everything. It sheds light on the optimism and positivity of filipinos in whatever situation they are in so as to remain determined in going through struggles or challenges. It serves as a coping technique.
5. ABILITY TO SURVIVE - Filipino have an ability to survive and never to give up, Filipino make do with what is available in the environment. Basic optimism, flexibility and adaptability, hard work and a deep faith in God.
6. HARD WORK AND INDUSTRIAL - Filipinos have the capacity for hard work, given proper condition. The desires to raise one's standard of living and to possess the essentials of a decent life for one family, combined with the right oppurtunities and incentives, stimulate the Filipino to work very hard.
7. RESOURCEFUL - Filipino have this uncanny ability to make something out of nothings. This is generally a traits that is common to every filipino. Sample of filipino Resourceful and creativity simple bottle of water become a source of lights, and saves energy.
8. HELPFULNESS - Filipino are generally liked by tourists because they do not choose whom to help. When someone needs assistance, they are always ready to help. They help without recompense. Even though they are poor they still help each other.
