Bacolod City - Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson lauded the PNP Highway Patrol Group for opening the Executive Motorcycle Riding course for its personnel, adding this will develop their capacities on tactical law enforcement operations.
"This Executive Motorcycle Riding Course will provide our men in uniform and all participants, the necessary training, skills, and readiness in overcoming unexpected eventualities on the road, and ability to safely handle motorcycles and effectively respond to any situation, which more often than not, requires urgent intervention," Lacson, who attended the opening ceremonies at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City Saturday, said.
The activity was hosted by the Provincial Highway Patrol Team Negros Occidental, led by P/Major Nathaniel Florendo, and attended by acting regional chief of RHPU6 and course director, P/Lt. Col. Reynante Reyes, and P/Col. Romy Palgue, provincial police director of Negros Occidental.
With the complexity of the HPG tasks, the training will also enhance their expertise in tactical law enforcement operations, Lacson said, as he thanked the HPG personnel for their bravery and commitment to service.
"I know that we, together with the entire Negros Occidental PNP, can make Negros Occidental a place where crimes are prevented, where liberties are protected, where peace and order are upheld, and, most of all, where people are secured," Lacson said.
