The Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MBHTE-BARMM), in collaboration with the Bangsamoro Transition Authority, is set to build seven school buildings in North Cotabato and Maguindanao as part of the government's ongoing efforts, to improve the quality of education in the region.
Recently, the groundbreaking ceremony of school buildings was held in the two provinces.
Among the schools that will benefit from the projects are the following: Sapakan Elementary School with a one -story building, flagpole, handwashing facility, and rainwater collector; Buliok Elementary School with a one -story building; Datu Pinguiaman Elementary School-Annex with one storey building; Dagadas Elementary School with a classroom; Nasapian Elementary School with two classrooms; Sambulawan Elementary School with two classrooms; and Endaila Silongan Central Elementary School with two classrooms.
MBHTE Minister Mohagher Iqbal said each school has P2.5 million worth of funding. The construction of the school buildings was funded under the Transitional Development Impact Fund (TDIF) by BTA members Ali Salik and Engr. Aida Silongan. |
Iqbal added that the project is in line with the 12-Point Priority Agenda of BARMM, which promotes quality education and the availability of schools with a safe environment for learning.
