Miss Universe Kosovo 2020 Blerta Veseli, 23, of Gjilan, Kosovo will crown her successor in Tirana, Albania on July 9, 2021 live on Vizion Plus and Klan Kosova. It will be the 12th edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Kosovo's official Miss Universe candidate.

Currently, Kosovo has four Miss Universe placements. Representing the European country, Zana Krasniqi finished in the Top 10 in 2008 and Marigona Dragusha was second runner-up in 2009 while Aferdita Dreshaj and Diana Avdiu both finished in the Top 16 in 2011 and 2012, respectively.

A total of six women are competing for the Miss Universe Kosovo 2021 title. Here are the candidates:

Originally, Marigona Krasniqi, 24, was among the Miss Universe Kosovo 2021 candidates but she withdrew from the competition almost a month before the coronation night. I believe she has what it takes to win the first ever Miss Universe crown for Kosovo.

Marigona Krasniqi would have been as successful as Dragusha in Miss Universe if not more. But with the former now out of the picture, I believe the frontrunners of Miss Universe Kosovo 2021 are Sejdiu and Alijaj.

Sejdiu has been modeling since she was 15 years old and she loves fashion and everything related to it. She cited positivity, self-confidence and intuition as her strongest weapons.

Born and raised in Luxembourg, Alijaj speaks six languages namely Albanian, Luxembourgish, English, French, German and Spanish. She represented Albania at Miss Tourism International 2014 and was unplaced before she was crowned Miss Luxembourg 2015.

Alijaj was supposed to represent Luxembourg at Miss World 2015 but she withdrew from the competition. With her experience, she could be a good representative of Kosovo at Miss Universe 2021.

But for me, Sejdiu is a stronger candidate. I hope she wins Miss Universe Kosovo 2021 and earns the fifth Miss Universe placement of Kosovo.
