A flamethrower will hit afternoons with Nagbabagang Luha.

The upcoming series stars Glaiza de Castro, Rayver Cruz, Mike Tan and newcomer Claire Castro. The series is based on the 1988 movie of the same title, starring Lorna Tolentino, Gabby Concepcion, Richard Gomez, and Alice Dixson, which in turn is an adaptation of a komiks series by Elena Patron. With Afternoon Prime retaining its reputation as a platform for its up & coming stars, the series marks Claire's first leading role.

Nagbabagang Luha tells the story of sisters Maita (Glaiza) and Cielo (Claire), who have been together since childhood, despite having been deserted by their mother. As Cielo gets older, she turns rebellious in hopes of getting her own freedom. Their lives change when Cielo gets abducted. During her grieving times, Maita is accompanied by boyfriend Alex (Rayver). Just when Maita is about to start a new life with Alex, Cielo surprisingly comes back to Maita's life. Their reunion will be put to a test on whether their relationship will either strengthen or crumble with suppressed jealousy, pretensions, deceits, and secrets.

Joining the stellar cast of Nagbabagang Luha are Gina Alajar, Allan Paule, Archie Adamos, Myrtle Sarrosa, Royce Cabrera, Ralph Noriega, Karenina Haniel and Bryan Benedict. The series is directed by Ricky Davao.

The series was initially introduced last year as Seed of Love, with Valerie Concepcion being part of it. Despite having some scenes shot, on March 2020, its production was postponed due to the ECQ implemented in Luzon, prompting all networks to temporarily put a halt to production for taped shows. This year, it was replaced with Nagbabagang Luha. It was slated to air as a replacement for Magkaagaaw after Holy Week. However, it was postponed due to the ECQ implemented in the Greater Manila Area and was replaced with a replay of Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real. Now that the series is given the green light, it will air on its planned timeslot, with Ang Dalawang Ikaw moved to a later timeslot.

Starting this Monday, it will be a furious, but interesting ride for afternoon viewers as they'll witness a tale of sisterhood and betrayal in this upcoming series, as well as an up and coming star on the rise.
