Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) has cancelled its flights to Riyadh and Dammam from July 9 to 13 due to restrictions imposed by the Saudi local authorities. 

"These cancellations are beyond PAL's control and are most regrettable, because they prevent us from serving the urgent travel needs of our OFWs and other passengers," PAL said in a statement.

PAL is urgently appealing to the Saudi authorities to reconsider these restrictions and allow PAL to operate its flights to Riyadh and Dammam. 

"We likewise request the Philippine Government for urgent support and assistance to help resolve this situation."

The cancelled flights are the following:PR 5654 — Manila to Riyadh on July 9, 10 and 12PR 5682 — Manila to Dammam on July 11, 12 and 13PR 5655 — Riyadh to Manila on July 9, 10, and 12PR 5683 — Dammam to Manila on July 11, 12 and 13.

PAL said affected passengers may opt to:

– Rebook your flight to a later date;- Convert your ticket to a Travel Voucher;- Refund your ticket without penalties.(Terms and conditions apply)
