The Philippine Health Insurance (PhilHealth) regional office 9 is urging Zamboanga hospitals to be PhilHealth Konsultasyon Sulit at Tama (KonSulTa) package accredited.
Michael Jones S. Lahi, OIC Public Affairs Unit, PhilHealth IX said, as of now in region 9 only Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Hospital is PhilHealth KonSulTa Accredited.
"Tan enjoin kame conel maga hospitals na Zamboanga City, man apply sila con el accreditation para pwede el maga Zamboangueños usa con el PhilHealth KonSulTa benefits." Lahi said.
He said, all hospitals were already informed about PhilHealth KonSulTa.
For those hospitals interested, they need to go to the office to complete the requirements. If their requirements are complete the office will immediately act on it.
Those who can avail of the benefits are those members in good standing.
This is in line with the Universal Healthcare which aims on the preventive side.
He said, before, beneficiaries can only use their PhilHealth when they are hospitalized now they can use it on the preventive side.
PhilHealth KonSulTa shall perform preventive health services such as health screening and assessment according to life stage and health risks of individuals.
Laboratory and diagnostic examinations included in the PhilHealth KonSulTa are CBC with platelet, urinalysis, fecalysis, sputum microscopy, fecal Occult blood, papsmear, lipid profile, FBS, OGTT, ECG, chest x-ray, creatinine, and HbA1c.
This will be implemented in Zamboanga Peninsula by the third quarter of the year and to be implemented by PhilHealth KonSulTa accredited hospitals. (R.G Antonet Go)
