AFTER complying with Quezon City's strict compliance with minimum public health standards, Araneta City's Gateway Mall, Ali Mall, and Farmers Plaza recently received safety seal certifications from the city government.

"We are honored and proud to be among the establishments in the private sector to be given a safety seal from the government," Senior Vice President for Operations of Araneta City Antonio Mardo said. "Since the start of the pandemic early last year, we have made it a point to ensure the strict implementation of minimum health standards set by our government, and to maintain the health and safety of everyone here in Araneta City."

Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte led the ceremonial turnover and posting of seal stickers on July 1 at the Gateway Mall.  Other attendees were Margie Santos, department head of the Quezon City Business Permits and Licensing Department; Noel Leonor, chief of staff;  Marjorie Go, assistant vice president for Marketing of Araneta City and Mardo.

The city government awarded the certificates to Araneta City after its malls passed the rigorous inspection of Quezon City's Safety Seal Certification Committee. Moreover, Araneta City has been implementing the use of KyusiPass in mall and store entrances, and has been observing safety entrance protocols and regular sanitation in every establishment.

 "This milestone signifies our continuous cooperation with the government in the fight against Covid-19. The Safety Seal reinforces our efforts to make sure that we minimize the threats of viral infection in the City of Firsts," Mardo added.

 Araneta City has recently partnered with Quezon City for the free use of Smart Araneta Coliseum and New Frontier Theater to assist in the faster rollout of Covid-19 vaccines.

 Belmonte urged registered business establishments to apply and display the Safety Seal as proof that they comply with minimum health protocols, like the wearing of masks and face shields, and the use of KyusiPass. This was enshrined through the signing and implementation of Executive Order 13, s. 2021.

"As we proudly display the Safety Seal in Araneta City malls, our customers can be assured that their health and safety always comes first at the City of Firsts," Mardo concluded.
