The municipality of Rome encompasses a very large area, but the city has less than 3,000,000 inhabitants.

This means that much of the metropolitan area of Rome, especially the suburbs, is characterized by an alternation of urban areas and huge agricultural ones (unlike Manila which is characterized by nothing but cement and more cement)

Here are some pictures of an agricultural area situated only 200 mt away from my house (and only about 300-400 mt from the metro station...)
