Senator Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go together with PCOO Sec. Martin Andanar and Presidential Assistant for the Visayas Sec. Michael Dino led the unveiling of Siargao Island Medical Center marker today, July 3, 2021 in the municipality of Dapa, Surigao del Norte.
Senator Go as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Health also led today's unveiling and launching of the Malasakit Center at Siargao District Hospital in Dapa, Surigao del Norte.
Governor Francisco Matugas of the province of Surigao del Norte thanked the national government for establishing the 125th Malasakit Center in Siargao Island Medical Center, which was launched today, July 3.
The launching was spearheaded by the Office of Senator Bong Go (OSBG). In his brief speech, the governor said that this is a proof that the government really cares for its people especially those who live in far-flung areas.
Attended also in the launching were OPAV Sec. Mike Dino, board members of the provincial government, and the municipal mayors in Siargao.
During the launching of the 125th Malasakit Center today, July 3, in the Siargao Island Medical Center in Dapa, Surigao del Norte, Sen. Bong Go, on behalf of President Rodrigo Duterte, thanked all the hospital staff that have served the locals especially during the pandemic.
"Wag niyong pabayaan lalo na ang mga mahihirap dahil wala silang ibang malalapitan kundi ang kayo na naglilingkod para sa gobyerno." The senator also said that he will deliver as he promised and that his service as a government official will always be for the betterment of the Filipino people. (PIA SDN)
