Dubbed as TENYA LOKAL, Tenya is aiming to provide an immediate solution to our dearest farmers and fisherfolks, who has experience a reduction in their sales during these uncertain times.

As farmers and fisherfolks were forced to stay home, production has been limited due to implemented Community Quarantine. With the launch of Tenya Lokal, the tempura tendon chain has provided a ready revenue stream for our farmers and fisherfolks, eliminating the middle man, directly communicating with the locals and, ensuring the highest quality of products will be served at our plates.

Starting the Tenya Lokal farm-to-table Japanese menu are their Donburi Treats that start at an affordable price of P165 pesos per bowl.

3 of their Donburi have fresh ingredients coming from different parts of the Philippines. Naming the White Fish from Zamboanga for their White Fish Fry Don. Locally braised chicken meat for their Chicken Karaage Don and Pacific White Shrimp from Bohol for their Ebi Toji Don.

Next on their farm-to-table menu is their Bento Box that starts at P195. These Bento Boxes comes with locally fresh-picked vegetable around the Philippines. A Noodles and Maki Set are also served as part of Tenya Lokal Menu starting at P125.

"Tenya has selected the best of Filipino ingredients, and our Japanese chefs have treated them with care to prepare dishes that we're sure our diners will love," said Edmundo Ramos, General Manager of Tenya. "These are world-class dishes, made with produce from our own shores," he added.

"This is our way of giving back to the communities of farmers and fisherfolk who have been our partners since we started out," said Chukri Prieto, Tenya's Managing Director.

"We hope that in our own way, Tenya is able to help jumpstart the road to recovery for these people. We felt it was important to call attention to the pressing needs of our food producers. With our countrymen's support, we can assure their livelihood," he remarked.

Now, with hope on the horizon in the fight against the coronavirus, Tenya seeks to uplift the agricultural and aqua-cultural industries, who have been hit hard by the pandemic.

With this move, it should be a calling to other restaurants to support our locals through farmers and fisherfolks' own food production.

Tenya has also made its menu accessible to those who would like to enjoy their food in the comforts of their own homes. Tenya is now on Grabfood, Foodpanda and Pickaroo, you can also order through their FB messenger and website at http://www.tenya.com.ph.
