Zamboanga del Sur - The Philippine Army's 53rd Infantry "Matapat" Battalion (53IB) converged with the Municipal Government of Molave, Zamboanga del Sur and other national government agencies (NGAs) in the recently concluded Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) meeting at Mayor's Office, Municipal Hall, Molave Zamboanga del Sur on July 23, 2021.
Significant updates delivered by 53IB Bravo Company Commander 1Lt. Niel Kim Garcia include: AFP updates, Situation update in Western Mindanao, Situation update in 53IB AOR, Situation update in Molave, Peacebuilding activities, Better Life: Adopt-a-CAFGU Program, and Social Media Advocacy for Matapat Social Media Pages for daily updates.
Other topics discussed by partner agencies include: Implementation of 2021 Peace and Order and Public Safety (POPS) provided by MLGOO, updates on COVID vaccination by the Municipal Health Office,
and Anti-Drug Abuse Efforts by the PNP.
The meeting was presided by Molave mayor Cyril Reo Glepa and was participated by Vice Mayor Monalisa Glepa, MLGOO Mrs. Gadelyn Palongpalong, Molave Chief of Police PMaj Marlon Comia, Hon Victor Jose Geromo, SVFP Parish Priest Rev. Father Foelan Echave, Vice President Interfaith Org Ptr. Fernmone Taripe, Chairman NAFPEM CSO Mr. Dante Labunog, Municipal Warden Jail Senior Inspector Roneil Inot, and Fire Marshall Fire Inspector Herman Ting.
This activity is part of the 53IB's drive to pursue transformation to become a world class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
