Jose Guillermo Casillas-Flores, 22, of Brentwood, Walnut Creek, Contra Costa County, California, United States has been arrested by the Walnut Creek Police Department. He is accused of killing Lutfi Abbushi, 25, of San Pablo, Contra Costa County.
At around 1:40 a.m. on July 18, 2021, Cassilas-Flores allegedly opened fire on a group of people outside the Spoontonic Lounge in Walnut Creek. Four people were shot including Abbushi, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The three other victims were taken to a hospital. They are expected to recover.
On July 22, 2021, Cassilas-Flores was arrested during a traffic stop. Walnut Creek Police Department officers searched his residence in Brentwood and found a handgun and ammunition.
