Emily Brontë's classic novel "Wuthering Heights" has been made into several adaptations for decades. The first Philippine adaptation was the 1991 film Hihintayin Kita sa Langit, starring Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta, which in turn was adapted by the 2007 film The Promise, starring Richard Gutierrez and Angel Locsin and the 2012 series Walang Hanggang, starring Coco Martin and Julia Montes. Another adaptation straight from the book will hit Primetime with The World Between Us.

The upcoming series stars Alden Richards, Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Tom Rodriguez. This is the second team-up of Alden and Jasmine after I Can See You's Love on The Balcony.

The World Between Us tells the story of Louie Asuncion (Alden) and Lia Libradilla (Jasmine), who grew up together in the latter's household. Lia's mother helped Louie in his studies after being left as an orphan. Years pass, Louie and Lia felt that they were destined to be together. However, there are a series of events which keep them apart, including Lia's brother Brian (Tom). Louie and Lia must prove that true love bridges divide, especially in the face of adversity.

Joining the powerhouse cast of The World Between Us are Dina Bonnevie, Jaclyn Jose, Sid Lucero, Yana Asistio, Kelley Day, Don Boco and Jericho Arceo, with Glydel Mercado on a special participation role. The series is directed by Dominic Zapata.

It will be a challenge for Alden, Jasmine and Tom to win the hearts of their fans with their respective roles, which are way different from their previous ones. Starting this Monday, viewers will witness a love story of many generations awaits viewers in this upcoming series.
