George Gonzalez was a military and police veteran from New York City, New York, United States. He served in with the U.S. Army, the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the Transportation Security Administration and the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA).

Gonzalez received several military awards. Among them were the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Overseas Service Ribbon, the Combat Action Badge, the Meritorious Unit Commendation, the Iraq Campaign Medal with campaign star and the Korean Defense Service Medal.
