DAVAO CITY – The condominium unit promised to Olympic boxing silver medalist, Nesthy Petecio, is in this city's property of Megaworld, a town away from her hometown in Davao del Sur.

Her unit is at One Lakeshore Drive, developed by Suntrust Properties inside the 11.2 hectare Davao Park District in Lanang. Suntrust, which committed the reward, is a subsidiary of Megaworld Corp.

The unit is worth P10-million.

A report by the Philippine Information Agency here said Petecio would be coming in at the fully furnished condo unit.

Suntrust Properties has earlier rewarded the country's first Olympic gold medalist, Hidilyn Diaz with a condominium unit at its Eastwood, Quezon City property.

Petecio settled for silver after bowing out to Japanese boxer Sena Irie at the Olympic women's featherweight boxing in Tokyo.

The PIA report said Petecio's feat matched the best medal finish by Philippine boxers in the Olympics. Anthony Villanueva was the silver medalist in the men's featherweight division at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics while light-flyweight fighter Mansueto Velasco got the silver at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.

Her silver is one of two silver medals brought in by Carlo Paalam, of Cagayan de Oro. The Tokyo Olympics is the country's best ever finish, with a total haul of four medals, including the bronze by Eumir Marcial of Bukidnon. All medalists hail from Mindanao, with Diaz from Zamboanga City,

Petecio was also assigned to carry the flag for the Philippine delegation at the close of the Tokyo Olympics on Sunday.
