₱4,503,800.00 Worth of Alleged Smuggled Cigarettes Seized in Tumalutap Island
Joint elements of 2nd Zamboanga City Mobile Force Company together with personnel of Bureau of Customs, Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS) and Enforcement and Security Service (ESS) conducted seaborne patrol at the Vicinity of Tumalutap Island, Zamboanga City at about 3:00 AM of August 4, 2021. The operation esulted in the interception of one (1) motorized wooden watercraft "Jungkong" owned by certain Bats Anloar loaded with alleged smuggled cigarettes bound to Zamboanga City with 128 master cases and 34 reams of Champion Menthol Cigarettes with an estimated market value of ₱ 4,503,800.00 boarded with seven (7) crews identified as Faijal Ensani Amat 26 years old, single; Jimmy Nuruddin Sabturani, 54 years old, married, Sabri Abdul Abduraknan, 21yrs old, married, and Julhabir Radjail Umaron, 26yrs. old single and three minors all are residents of Jolo, Sulu. At 9:10 AM of same date, said unit together with BOC and PDEA conducted visual inspection and paneling on the items for possible presence of Illegal drugs, held at 2nd ZCMFC. Furthermore, the said cigarettes, Jungkong and the seven (7) crews are now in the custody of BOC for proper disposition.
₱340,000.00 Worth of Shabu Seized in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Sangali
Joint operatives of PDEG (Lead Unit), ZCPO-CDEU, Special Operations Unit 9, SOU BAR (15), RIU9, CIDG 9, HPG 9 and personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 3 conducted joint drug buy-bust operation at Barangay Sangali, Zamboanga City at 5:25 PM of August 4, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Jeffrey S Jalman alias "Toyong" a cohort of a.k.a. "Elong", 26 years old, male, single and a resident of Brgy. Sangali, Zamboanga City. Seized during the operation were one open white plastic bag containing one (1) piece of approximately 2 inches square in size of heat sealed transparent cellophane containing white crystalline substance believed to be Shabu weighing 50 grams and has an estimated value of ₱ 340,000.00; one (1) bundled photo copied 1,000.00 peso bill worth 120,000.00 pesos with one (1) piece of genuine 1000.00 peso bill placed on the top of the bundled registered/use as buy-bust money; one (1) piece Barangay ID owned by the suspect (Jefrrey S. Jalman); and One (1) black coin purse containing non-drug items. The arrested suspect was brought to Zamboanga City Police Office for documentation and proper disposition. Thereafter, the purchased drug evidence will be turned-over to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
₱4,000.00 Worth of Shabu Seized in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Tulungatung
At about 11:30 PM of August 4, 2021, SDET of ZCPS9 led by PLT VICENTE ANTONIO G VERALLO JR conducted anti-illegal drugs operation at Zone 5, Barangay Tulungatung, Zamboanga Ctiy that resulted to the arrest of MARIANO SALOMIA y ABATAYO aka RJ, 48 years old male, single, born on Nov 29, 1972, High School Level, jobless, not 4Ps recipient and a resident of Zone 5, Tulungatung, Zamboanga City.(Watchlisted) Confiscated during the operation were Four (4) sachets of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of 4,000.00 pesos weighing more or less 0.4 grams and Two (2) bills of 100.00 pesos marked money. Said subject person is now under the custody of ZCPS9 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered sachets of suspected shabu will be brought to ZCCLO.

CONCEPCION, KABASALAN, ZSP 6. HOW: ON THE SAID DATE/TIME AND PLACE, ELEMENTS OF KABASALAN MPS RECEIVED A REPORT THAT AN ALLEGED STABBING INCIDENT TRANSPIRED INVOLVING THE ABOVE-MENTIONED PERSONS. |
INVESTIGATION DISCLOSED THAT PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT, THE SUSPECT AND THE VICTIM HAD A HEATED ARGUMENT WHILE PLAYING CARD GAME. AFTER WHICH, THE SUSPECT WENT BACK TO THE SAID PLACE OF INCIDENT ON BOARD HIS MOTORCYCLE AND UPON SEEING THE VICTIM WALKING ON HIS WAY HOME. THEN AND THERE, THE SUSPECT WHO IS BELIEVED TO BE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF LIQUOR, INTENTIONALLY BUMPED THE VICTIM WITH HIS DRIVEN MC AND STAB HIM USING A KITCHEN KNIFE BUT THE VICTIM WAS ABLE TO PARRY THE ATTACK AND WAS NOT HIT BY THE ATTEMPTS MADE BY THE SUSPECTS. THE VICTIM WAS ABLE TO ESCAPE AND ASK FOR HELP WHILE SUSPECT FLED THE SCENE TOWARD HIS HOUSE. ELEMENTS OF KABASALAN MPS CONDUCTED HOT-PURSUIT OPERATION AND SUBSEQUENTLY ARRESTED THE SUSPECT AND RECOVERED ONE (1) KITCHEN KNIFE FROM HIS POSSESSION (BELIEVED TO BE USE DURING THE INCIDENT). ARRESTED SUSPECT IS NOW UNDER THE CUSTODY OF KABASALAN MPS FOR FILLING OF APPROPRIATE CHARGES.
