Campaign Against Loose FAs (Kontra Boga)
Be informed that at about 11:00 AM of August 5, 2021, Manuel P. Banga, 41 years old, Barangay Kagawad and a resident of Barangay Pitawe, Gutalac, Zamboanga del Norte arrived at Gutalac Municipal Police Station (MPS) and voluntary surrendered his one (1) unit .38 CALIBER revolver pistol without ammunition, without marking and without serial number. The said firearm is now under the custody of Gutalac MPS for safekeeping and proper disposition.
Campaign Against Illegal Fishing
Be informed that at about 2:20PM of August 5, 2021, personnel of Rizal Municipal Police Station led by PSSg. Randy Asuncion together with the Bantay Dagat conducted seaborne patrol along the municipal seawaters of Barangay Nangca, Rizal, Zamboanga del Norte and intercepted Romeo Cabasag Paalisbo, 41 years old, a resident of Barangay Panganuran, Sibutad, Zamboanga del Norte. Subject person was caught in the act engaged in Illegal Fishing for Violation of Article XIII, Section 3 of Municipal Ordinance 2014-05 for failure of the licensee to carry a copy of a fishing license while boarding the fishing boat. The said violator was issued with citation ticket and subsequently released after paying the prescribed penalty.
Motor Vehicle Traffic Incident
Be informed that at about 5:00 PM of August 5, 2021, a traffic incident transpired along the national highway of Barangay. Poblacion East, Salug, Zamboanga del Norte involving two (2) motorcycles, described as follows:
- MC1 – Black/white HONDA XRM 125 driven by FLORANTE BAGUIO BUGANOTAN, 63 y.o. and a resident of Barangay Caracol, Salug, Zamboanga del Norte; and
- MC2 – red Honda WAVE 110, driven by NERI DALION LUBRIDO, 56 yo, retired policeman with backrider his wife Marry Jane Lubrido, 52 yo, both residents Barangay Poblacion East, Salug, Zamboanga del Norte. Investigation conducted disclosed that while both motorcycles were travelling from Sindangan bound to Salug, Zamboanga del Norte wherein MC1 was ahead of MC2. Upon reaching the place of incident, MC1 made a sudden U-turn resulting MC2 to apply break but the driver lost control of his driven motorcycle and subsequently bumped MC1. Both motorcycles fell on the road causing the three (3) riders to sustain injuries in different parts of their bodies.
All victims were brought to Liloy Health district hospital for medical treatment while both motorcycles are now in custody of Salug Municipal Police Station.
Arrest of Carnapping Suspect
Be informed that on or about 1:15 o'clock in the morning of August 6, 2021, Samuel Baculi Amatong, 54 years old, male, married, government employee and a resident of Martinez Street, Barangay Miputak, Dipolog City arrived at Dipolog CPS and reported a car napping incident wherein his service motorcycle black XRM 110 bearing plate number JJ 7619 with was stolen by an unidentified male person while being parked at the parking area of Provincial Capitol of Zamboanga del Norte located at Barangay Estaka, Dipolog City. According to the victim that at around 7:20 P.M. of August 5, 2021 he left his service motorcycle at the parking area and at around 7:30 PM he discovered that his service motorcycle was already missing and believed to be carted by an unidentified person. Upon review of the footage on the nearby CCTV it was seen that a male person walks towards his motorcycle and boarded heading towards the exit. Follow-up investigation and hot pursuit operation was then conducted by personnel of Dipolog City Police Station (CPS) and successfully arrested the suspect on or about 2:00 in the morning of same date at Barangay Galas, Dipolog City who was then later identified as one Enecito Gallemaso Romero, 43 years old, male, single and a resident of Barangay Olingan, Dipolog City and recovered from his control and possession the stolen motorcycle. The suspect together with the stolen motorcycle was then brought to Dipolog CPS for documentation prior filing of appropriate charges in the court of law.
