About 20 persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Amadeo, Cavite underwent training on organic vegetable production and container gardening.
The two-day training, July 29-30, was conducted under the auspices of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) -CALABARZON and in collaboration with the office of the Amadeo Municipal Farmer.
According to ATI-CALABARZON, the training was conducted based on the farm-to-table concept so that the disabled can learn how to use small spaces to grow nutritious, safe and affordable vegetables for their family.
Participants were taught the various principles and practices behind organic farming, including organic pesticides and fertilizers, and the various methods of establishing a garden using recycled containers and other equipment. own yard.
They were also made aware that their disability is not a barrier to protecting and improving their lives.
ATI-CALABARZON continues to provide planting knowledge so that every Filipino family will have enough and healthy food.
