Another indiscriminate bombing was carried out by the terrorist Philippine Airforce-Philippine Army in Purok 16 Damkaitan, Los Angeles, Butuan City. The bombing was launched against an alleged NPA camp. The incident occured on November 3, at around 1:40 in afternoon.

The bombing lasted for about half an hour and used two Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk, the Philippine Airforce' new attack helicopters. These fired four rockets and recklessly strafed using 50 Gatling machine gun. A civilian was killed in the airstrike, many farmers suffered wounds as they scrambled from of their farms, and residents living in the sitio and neighboring villages were terrified and restricted from going to their farms.

Remy Darasin, 48-years old and married was killed in the attack. According to his wife, she was very worried when her husband failed to come home on the night of November 3, 2021. The next day, November 4, his body was found floating in the Agay River (near the scene of the attack).

The military operation caused a big disruption in the lives and livelihoods of the residents . They were restricted from going to their farms which starved their families.

Brigadier General Romero Brawner, Jr., chief of the 4th ID, said that the bombing was part of their "test mission" on the newly purchased Black Hawks. They were ashamed to admit that there was no NPA camp in the area, and that is why they made up stories to justify their extensive bombing. The "test mission" they are referring to is a big lie. In fact, joint military operations of the 65th IB, Special Action Force, Special Action Company and Special Action Battalion to seach the area.

The AFP and the US-Duterte regime have always been notorious for their bloody record of human rights violations. Their dealings with the people is charactherized by violence because they serve the interests of the imperialists, the big bourgeoisie-compradors and the big landlords. It is clear that they do not discriminate in their aerial bombings, targeting even civilian communities. This is a gross violation of international law of war— that is, endangering civilians in armed conflicts.

On the other hand, the extravagant and careless bombing befell was launched even as the country grapples with the COVID-19 crisis. They are shameless in using the people's money to kill the unarmed and innocent civilians.

Lastly, this desperate move by the AFP and the US-Duterte regime to crush the revolutionary movement only proves the justness of the people's democratic revolution that the NPA is waging. Under the current reactionary government, there is no place for genuine justice, peace and freedom. State violence only creates more fertile ground for people's war.
