MANILA, Philippines – Miss Philippines Maureen Montagne was crowned The Miss Globe 2021 giving the Philippines a back-to-back pageant victory after Cinderella Faye Obeñita was recently crowned Miss Intercontinental 2021 in Egypt.

Montagne is of Filipino and French descent who was born and raised in Chandler, Arizona, USA. The 28-year old is a commercial model, professional host and also worked as a magazine writer.

In 2013, she joined Mutya Ng Pilipinas where she won first runner-up, competed at Miss Arizona pageant, Miss USA 2015 where she placed in the Top 15. She also joined Miss World America in 2017 where she finished first runner-up, was also crowned Miss Eco Philippines in 2018, represented the country at Miss Eco International held in Egypt where she was named first runner-up, and in 2021 she was crowned as the Binibining Pilipinas Globe and took home the Miss Globe 2021 crown.  

During the question-and-answer portion of the pageant, Maureen was asked: "Do you think beauty is a merit and how much can we enrich it with other values?"

Her winning answer: "I think that true beauty comes from within. To be a Miss Globe is to be a beauty that inspires. What makes us beautiful is our smiles, it is what we do for our community, it is how we give back to others, and it is how we carry ourselves through lives," she said.

"I believe that everyone has beauty inside of them and I believe it is our duty to share it with the world and to give back and to truly inspire others," she added.
