Dalgona coffees, TikTok dances, online shopping budols — we're way past that. While we remain stuck inside our houses as the pandemic continues, the youth needs to do something worth their time; something that's gonna give them the chance to learn new skills, meet people, and celebrate their creativity at the comfort of their homes... like an online internship! And that's exactly what we did with the Creative Content Camp (CCC)!

Ever wonder what it feels like to be working as an intern? Well, it can get really stressful at times, and you might even feel overwhelmed because you are basically entering the "real world." Not only that, but we're literally in the middle of a pandemic, and it's not every day that you can get that "push" to get a job done.

However, our experiences as CCC interns are different! Not only because we got to learn what it feels like to work in a team under the largest education platform in the Philippines, but we also got to experience a whole new level of creativity and productivity!

It's more than just work

Beyond just getting the work done and accomplishing your tasks, creative internships are not your typical internship. You get to really explore the nature of your field and share the experience with your colleagues through workshops and brainstorming sessions wherein in our experience, we got to learn about lessons tailored to our skills, critique each other's best works, and even engage in fascinating creative brainstorming turned chika sessions with the whole team. And that's not all there is!

For all the social media addicts out there, it's time to flex your up-to-date knowledge on current social media trends in the Deep Dives! During Deep Dives sessions, we focus on specific social media platforms and flesh out all there is to know about its recent trends and how we can apply these to our marketing strategies. It's one of the many avenues of the whole CCC program where you not only work with each other but also learn from each other along the way. And that's what makes CCC a one-of-a-kind internship experience!

Teamwork makes the dream work!

You might be one of those people who prefer working alone, especially when you want to get the task done right away. But in the creative camp, it is very important that you get along with your co-interns. Not only are you working in the same company, but there are also times that you have to work together to finish a task!

The creative camp is all about collaboration because collaboration breeds creativity, which also helps us improve the quality of our work! Also, if you work as a team, there are more hands and minds that are working together, more opportunities to learn and grow with each other.

We all know that internships are all about improving your skills, as well as doing new things that you can enjoy! In this internship, we experienced collaborative projects, such as making a product video for the Future Fest 2 that Edukasyon.ph hosted. It involved a lot of work, from scriptwriting to video editing! Believe us when we say that it isn't an easy task, especially if you're going to do it alone. Good thing we have the whole team working together, and we finished it in just two weeks! It was really fulfilling for us to see the finished product of our hard work.

We also experienced working with people outside the CCC team – like working with our consultant or with the digital marketing interns. So, interacting and collaborating with other people is an important aspect of our work!

In CCC, the collaborative projects that we have only helped us develop our capabilities even further, as well as discover more about our creative side. It also helped us bond together and work as a team!

Bond with your bosses slash besties

The first thing you have to do as you enter CCC is to learn how to scratch that ma'am/sir barrier with your mentors and colleagues! In the short duration of CCC, we were able to really get to know our mentors, co-interns, colleagues from other teams, and even with our CEO and founder through different bonding sessions separate from work-related meetings. Aside from the usual Monday meetings to jumpstart the week and the weekly huddles to catch up with the tasks, there is always a fun-filled zoom party event for every occasion!

You're probably wondering: how did we have the time to squeeze all of these meetings and events in our busy academic schedules? Well don't fret, important meetings are adjusted and aligned with your schedules because of course, acads always come first. Our CCC mentors are very understanding and considerate when it comes to their CCC babies (a.k.a us) which makes our experience in CCC a lot easier. On top of that, attending meetings and events are not really required but for sure, you wouldn't want to miss the chance to bond with a very talented and spirited set of people (shout out to the Marketing Team)!

Challenging but fulfilling experience

In the 3 months that we spent in this internship, it wasn't all cupcakes and rainbows. Of course, we experienced some conflicts along the way. There were also times when we didn't really know how to start a task. But that's the challenging and fun part because you get to learn more of the real world! Do we regret any of it? Not at all! The skills that we have right now is all thanks to this internship experience! Surely, it was a challenging experience, but a fulfilling one as well!

If we're going to rate our internship as CCC campers, it would surely be 5 out of 5 stars! We definitely recommend it not only to our friends, but also to other students, because CCC allows you to experience a different level of creativity and lets you discover more ways to hone your skills!

After the seemingly repetitive years of 2020 and 2021, it isn't easy to make decisions that can disrupt our already jam-packed school schedules. Adding an online internship to your overall load implores you to have an unwavering level of determination, dedication, and commitment to your craft!
