The distribution of food packs to senior citizens in the province of Marinduque has begun, n collaboration with the office of House Speaker Lord Allan Jay Velasco and Filipinos with Heart Foundation..

According to Gov. Presbitero Velasco, Jr., it is important to meet the needs of all sectors of society, especially the elderly so the provincial government distributed aid for them.

"We emphasize the importance of meeting the needs of our people especially now that we are going through trials due to pandemics and various disasters," Velasco said.

The governor also added that the government's goal is to provide importance and protection, as well as nutritious food to grandparents so that they can be healthy and free from any illness.

Among the contents of the food packs received by the beneficiaries were milk, rice, face mask, face shield, and some healthy food items.
