PANTUKAN, DAVAO DE ORO — Governor Jayvee Tyron Uy on Wednesday said their local team "Walang Iwanan" fully believes in Presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos and Vice Presidential aspirant Sara Duterte's message of unity and advocacies to unite the Filipinos.
Before thousands of people in a rally here, Duterte said their team aims to generate more jobs, strengthen education, and strive to attain peaceful living. She also vowed to continue her father's, President Rodrigo Duterte, legacy in the fight against anti-drugs and anti-criminality.
"Kami nagatuo sa ilang gidala nga unity platform. Usa pod mi ka believer ana sa Davao de Oro because through unity sa mga political leaders, mahimo jud nga paspas ang mga progreso sa usa ka lugar," Gov. Uy said.
Uy said residents of the province have waited for this day when they get to see the whole UniTeam, especially their fellow Dabawenyo, Duterte.
"Basta BBM-Sara kusog jud kaayo sila labi na sa Davao de Oro. Daghan kaayo og excited na makadungog ug makakita sa ilaha. Pinangga jud kaayo sila ilabi na si Mayor Inday nga aside nga taga-Davao," Uy said.
Vice Governor Maricar Zamora, who is eyeing a congressional comeback, said she believes the UniTeam's platforms are "the most doable" and "timely" given the current situation faced by the country due to COVID-19 pandemic.
"Our country needs economic recovery, and the BBM-Sara tandem sees that need. We need to bounce back from the impact of the pandemic, and the UniTeam has the most profound platform to resolve the national issue," Zamora stressed.
Zamora was one of those who proposed the renaming of then Compostela Valley to Davao de Oro which succeeded through a plebiscite in December 2019.
As Vice Governor, Zamora said Marcos and Duterte's plans resembles the exact needs of every local government unit.
"Klaro ang plataporma ng UniTeam. Kaya kami dito sa provincial government really agrees to their advocacies because we truly need more jobs, high quality education, and peace and order," Zamora added.
The provincial rally is attended by senatorial bets Sherwin Gatchalian, Mark Villar, Larry Gadon, Rodante Marcoleta, Jinggoy Estrada, Gringo Honasan, Robin Padilla, Harry Roque, and Loren Legarda.
Hugpong ng Pagbabago Vice President and Davao Oriental Governor Nelson Dayanghirang was also at the rally, bringing him hundreds of supporters. HNP Media
