PHILRACOM Chairman Reli de Leon announced the start of the incentive-laden Philracom Summer Racing Festival which takes flight today up to April 17 wherein all races held during the period shall have no bearing on the first win of horses participating.
It will only be on the second win of a particular horse in the same group, whether in Condition Races or Ratings Based Handicap Races where regular handicapping rules will apply.
Aside from gaining an additional win in the same RBHS group, the top three finishers in the system shall be entitled to P40,000, P15,000 and P5,000, respectively.
In Condition and Maiden races, the winning connections will earn an added bonus of P20,000.
On top of all that, the top ten performing trainers and jockeys will be receiving plaques of recoginition and P50,000 for first, P30,000 for second and P20,000 for third for both categories.
The fourth to 10th placers will be given P10,000 each for their efforts.
Philracom will also be giving cash incentives top three longshot winners. P50,000 for the longest shot, P30,000 for the second longest shot and P20.000 for third.
"This is Philracom's way of supplementing the income of stakeholders in the industry after how the pandemic has affected our industry. Moreso, it will also give racing fans exciting events to support, not to mention juicy dividends on their investments," De Leon said.
