Davao City Mayor and Vice Presidential aspirant Sara Duterte on Wednesday again insisted Partido Federal ng Pilipinas standard bearer Ferdinand "Bongbong " Marcos Jr. is her only choice for president despite several supporters linking her to other presidential candidates.

In a short video statement released this afternoon, Duterte re-affirmed her decision to support running-mate Marcos buoyed by the commitment partaken by her parties Lakas-CMD and Hugpong ng Pagbabago.

"I intend to honor the commitment of my parties — the Lakas-CMD and Hugpong ng Pagbabago -- that is to support Apo Bongbong Marcos as president," Duterte said.

Duterte recalled that the formulation of UniTeam was a product of their shared vision for all Filipinos — which will start by forging unity to strengthen our country, and move every Filipino's dream forward.

"When we agreed to form the UniTeam of Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte, we both agreed to run together with the singular purpose of improving the lives of the Filipinos and making the Philippines a stronger country," Duterte said.

Duterte is a constant frontrunner in the vice presidential surveys conducted by various polling bodies. But as she continuously leads preference polls, her supporters have also been forging tandems associating her with other presidential hopefuls.

Overwhelmed by the massive support she is receiving, the mayor thanked her supporters for showing their "confidence to as a leader."

"Once again, let me reiterate that I am aware that many of you wish to see me with another presidential candidate. I take that as a sign of confidence in me as a leader. And for that, I am truly deeply touched and honored," she relayed.

Mayor Duterte also pays tribute to every organizations and individuals who relentlessly shared the same aspirations, commitment, and values which fueled her desire to strive harder in her campaign day by day.

"We are barely half the journey, but I would have not reached this point in the campaign without the support of many local leaders, politicians, businessmen, people in nongovernment organizations and the academe, youth groups, women's organizations, the Moro people, tribal leaders and their communities, members of the LGBT community, the ordinary citizens who trust in me and joined my cause," she stressed.

The vice presidential hopeful also called on her supporters and friends to trust the UniTeam lineup in delivering their commitment and in performing their mandates with utmost quality, pro-people, and no non-sense governance.
