Overwhelming endorsement to PEZA head

"…gratefully appreciates how Director General Plaza transforms promotion strategy for export-based investment of PEZA for the Philippines from private sector-driven into public sector..." President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. received various endorsements for Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) director general Brig. Gen. Charito Plaza's outstanding performance in every endeavor as head of PEZA. Among endorsers was Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. headed by its president, Dr. Henry Lim Bon Liong.

Public, private and business sectors have endorsed to President Marcos retention of incumbent Director General of PEZA Plaza.

Semiconductor and Electronics Industries in the Philippines said in the past six years, Plaza has demonstrated "passion, assertiveness, dedication and diligence in working for best interest of PEZA locators and country investments."

The IT & Business Process Association of the Philippines, a major contributor to Philippine economy, on the other hand, "recognizes and extols proactive stance" of Plaza since her September 2016 appointment by former president Rodrigo Duterte.

The Confederation of Wearable Exporters of the Philippines (Conwep), largest association in the country of the export manufacturing industry sectors of apparel, travel goods and footwear, said Plaza has instituted major policy reforms revolutionizing PEZA to meet challenging demands of business environment in the country. This endorsement was sent by Conwep Executive Director Maritess Jocson-Agoncillo to President Marcos.

Another valuable endorsement came from three big media organizations, Federation of the Provincial Press Clubs of the Philippines Inc., the Boracay Global Press Corps Philippines Inc. and the Publishers Association of the Philippines Inc., which recently convened for the Local Press Assembly 2022.
