MANILA, Philippines — The Office of the Vice President (OVP) announced that its satellite offices will provide medical and funeral aid to people in need.
According to OVP spokesperson Atty. Reynold Munsayac, the satellite offices, which opened on July 1, aim to provide access to social services to people living outside of Metro Manila.
"These established satellite offices across the country will widen the program's reach and guarantee a better provision of assistance."

The OVP further stated that medical and burial support is available through the OVP's partner hospitals or directly through the satellite offices.
Medical and funeral aid applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. filled-out application form
2. Submit the complete requirements and form via walk-in to the satellite office processor/staff
3. Wait for the processing of the application
4. The processor/staff will inform the applicant of the date of issuance of assistance that will be provided personally or via email

Meanwhile, Vice President Sara Duterte will hold her official duties at Mandaluyong City rather than the Quezon City Reception House.
Muncayac explained that the new office will accommodate all the OVP's co-term, casual, and permanent employees, which will "enhance efficiency, economy, and result in streamlined processes since all the OVP employees are within the same area."
This location is expected to be more accessible to the public, as it is located near major highways and public transportation.
