Last weekend I had dinner with friends in IT Park Cebu City, after we had coffee and sweets at Krispy Kreme IT Park we passed by along Asia Premier building and we saw this new restaurant called Lemon Kitchen. A small restaurant with an industrial interior design and lots of potted plants. I noticed their chef is Japanese and there are some touches of Japanese decors too.
Menu
Kitchen Lemon, i1 Bldg IT Park Cebu
The price starts at 300 pesos and the most expensive item on the menu is the assorted appetizer worth Php 1,800.
We ordered the Chicken Cream Stew and the Pork Steak then soda and Ginger Ale for the drinks.
The Pork Steak
Cut into bite-sized pork steak served in a sizzling pan with shredded cabbage on the side.
The Chicken Cream Stew
Large cuts of potato, cooked in a coconut cream.
The place is within IT park, it's close to the famous Chowabungga and it has the same size or square meter in terms of space. Presentation-wise, the food looks good and IG-worthy, however, personally it did not reach my expectations. I thought the Chicken Cream Stew was cooked using milk or cream while the Pork Steak wasn't tender instead, it looks like fried. I remember, I asked the waitress if the pork steak was tender enough for someone like me who recently had an ortho adjustment can eat, she said yes but she failed me. Perhaps for normal people without dental appliances, it's okay but I was expecting a tender pork steak like a close to slow-cooked version to mimic the beef steak's medium rare doneness.
Overall, I can still recommend the restaurant and I want you to try the other items on its menu. I only tasted 2 items so I don't think it's a very reliable opinion plus it's very personal. Everyone will have a different taste and I believe that Lemon Kitchen will be able to capture your taste in food.
