City library of Tagum Public librarians from different towns visited the Tagum City Library recently with representatives from the National Library of the Philippines to gather insights on its operation. It maybe recalled that with its global standards and services it grabbed the title as the Most Innovative Public Library in the Philippines in 2021. The awarding was held August 25, 2021 during the 1st ASEAN Virtual Conference of Public Librarians and was presented by the National Library of the Philippines and The Ford Foundation. The library offers internet service, card catalog assistance, book borrowing assistance, readers advisory assistance, collaborative room service, conference room service, online library reference service, and virtual storytelling. The public library is complemented with Book Nook Mobile Library Bus that goes around the city to cater to areas needing such services.
