'Deleter' Wins Big at MMFF 2022 Awards Night

MANILA Philippines — Viva Films' 'Deleter' starring Nadine Lustre, will not be deleted from the screen, as it earned multiple big awards at the 48th Metro Manila Film Festival's Gabi ng Parangal.

The psychological horror movie directed by Mikhail Red won for best picture, best sound, best visual effect, best editing, and best cinematography.

Viva Films

Lustre, who was also present at the awards night, gracefully received her MMFF Best Actress award. Red also won the award for best director for the horror film.

Dimples Romana also received the award for best supporting actress for her role in the controversial film "My Father, Myself." The actors of "Nanahimik ang Gabi" also won big, with Ian Veneracion receiving the award for best actor and Mon Confiado for best supporting actor.

Meanwhile, veteran actress Vilma Santos-Recto was honored with the Marichu Vera-Perez Maceda Memorial Award for her contributions to local cinema.

Best Original Theme Song — Ang Aking Mahal (Mamasapano: Now It Can Be Told)

Best Production Design — Nanahimik Ang Gabi

Best Musical Score — Greg Rodriguez III (Nanahimik ang Gabi)

Best Float — My Father Myself

Best Child Performer — Shawn Niño Gabriel (My Father, Myself)

Gender Sensitivity Award — My Teacher

Stars of the Night — Nadine Lustre and Ian Veneracion

GatPuno Antonio J. Villegas Cultural Award — Family Matters

Fernando Poe, Jr. Memorial Award" — "Mamasapano: Now It Can Be Told

According to recent reports, the following MMFF films are now dominating at the box office:
