The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Wednesday said it has received a budget to continue the free ride program in its Pasig River Ferry Service.
"Meron pong binigay na pondo ang atin pong national government sa budget po ng MMDA para ituloy ang Libreng Sakay sa ating Pasig River Ferry," MMDA deputy chairperson Undersecretary Frisco San Juan Jr. said at a televised public briefing.

According to San Juan, the continuation of the free ride program would help ease the traffic situation on roads.
The MMDA has been offering free rides on the Pasig River Ferry with stations in Pinagbuhatan, San Joaquin, Maybunga, Kalawaan, Guadalupe, Valenzuela, Hulo, Lambingan, Sta. Ana, PUP, Lawton, Escolta, and Quinta.
Meanwhile, San Juan said the implementation of motorcycle lanes along Commonwealth Avenue has been successful. The MMDA is planning to expand motorcycle lanes to other major roads in Metro Manila.
Aside from this, San Juan said the MMDA is waiting for the recommendations from concerned agencies on the possible "green routes" dedicated for electric vehicles.
The Department of Energy earlier consulted the MMDA about setting up these green routes.
San Juan said the MMDA will forward these recommendations to the Department of Transportation (DOTr.)
"Hinihintay po natin ang kanilang mga rekomendasyon at pag-aaralan po natin. Pagkatapos po noon ay atin din pong ikokonsulta sa DOTr kung anuman ang kanilang magiging mga rekomendasyon," he said.
