The just-concluded Miss Universe 2022 in New Orleans was the 71st edition of the Miss Universe beauty pageant. The 2022 edition of the world's most-awaited beauty pageant was held on January 14, 2022, at New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, United States.
Miss Universe 2022 - ABS-CBN platforms
Harnaaz Sandhu, Miss Universe 2021 from India, crowned her successor at the end of the event. This was the first edition of the pageant under the ownership of Thailand-based JKN Global Group, which purchased the Miss Universe Organization from WME/IMG on October 26, 2022.

This 2022 edition was participated by 84 contestants. The competition was hosted by Jeannie Mai and Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo; Culpo last served as the host during Miss Universe 2020, while Mai last served as a backstage correspondent during Miss Universe 2014.
Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Zuri Hall will serve as backstage correspondents. This will mark the first time in a 70-year history to have an all-female presenting panel.
