Happy New Year to all!
Gosh, time just flew. I personally felt like life was in fast forward. It was like I slept in 2022 and woke up in 2023. That 'sleep' was a tough one though.
2022, you have been the toughest year since the struggle when I arrived in Australia 9 years ago, as well as the Pandemic. You definitely took the top spot. When I thought the Pandemic broke me, this was probably a bit more intense. My family and closest circle, plus some colleagues know the story, but honestly, Lady (my dog) probably knows THE MOST (besides God).
For the 2022 highlights:
My sister got through her surgeries! The strength and love of family is stronger than ever.
Family
I got engaged to my partner for 10 years. Yey! For the wedding date, to be announced. Lady, my French bulldog, is excited to be the flower dog. Haha
I successfully finished my Post-graduate certificate in Critical Care. My modern-hero skills just got an upgrade.
Got this jumper as a gift from a friend. Thank you!
Now, for my Dear 2023, I do not ask you to "Bring it on". There is no "Here we go" or "Let's do this". It is only a mild and calm "Hello" and "Welcome" for you. You arrived like a bullet train, on time, but very swift. I would like to take it easy this time. I am seeking for serene memories to treasure but still be able to achieve my goals. I wish to be able to look after myself more, in all aspects, but not be selfish. I wish to work less and create moments more. I wish to be more generous and grateful but leave some kindness and blessings for myself. I wish to improve in caring for my patients but also take care of myself in the process. I wish to keep pouring but not leave my cup empty.
My Lady Love.
Oh 2023, you're here already. I am ready, but please, be gentle with me.
Once again, a Happy and Meaningful 2023 to all.
- Jeck
