Want to achieve flawless-looking eyebrows everyday but lack the dexterity to do so? L'Oréal's Brow Magic has got you covered.
L'Oréal Groupe unveiled its beauty tool innovation at the CES 2023, an internationally renowned electronics and trade show in Las Vegas.
The electronic brow creator was developed by L'Oréal in partnership with tech company Prinker, a pioneer in printed, non-permanent tattoos.
The lightweight device is integrated with 2,400 tiny nozzles with up to 1,200 drops per inch (dpi) of printing resolution.
With Brow Magic, the first of its kind, users can customize the color, shape and thickness of their printed eyebrows.
How to Use
- Open the L'Oréal Brow Magic app and scan face with the Modiface brow reader
- Select desired shape, thickness, and effect
- Brush the L'Oréal Brow Magic primer through brows
- Move the printer across the eyebrow in a single, sweeping motion
- Apply a topcoat finish to lock in the look
It's said that the precise microblading-looking results will last all day, or up to two days when used with the Brow Magic Primer. The print can be removed using normal make up remover.

Inclusivity and Accessibility
Another device was also unveiled by L'Oréal Groupe during the show. The HAPTA, a robotic makeup applicator, was created for people with limited arm and hand mobility or problems with fine motor skills.
"For L'Oréal, the future of beauty is inclusive. And this future will be made more accessible by technology," Nicolas Hieronimus, CEO of the L'Oréal Groupe said.
"The two consumer technologies we are unveiling this year at CES represent the true purpose of our company: to create the beauty that moves the world," he added.
"When beauty and technology and creativity come together to solve big challenges, and make people's lives better, is when I feel we've done a good job and succeeded," said Guive Balooch, L'Oréal Global Head of Research and Innovation's Tech Incubator.
According to a report by Pocket Lint, who had a chance to try the Magic Brow prototype at the CES 2023, the gadget is expected to be released before the end of 2023 in the US and in 2024 in Europe. No details yet as for its release in Asia have been made. It also stated that no final pricing has been made, but it may retail for $149 to $199.
