I am no expert, let's get that out of the way first as you might be thinking if I am authorized enough to talk about it. But I will share some of the ideas that help me, in a way, get on track with my goals. It's different for a lot of people and they might ahve other ways of doing it but these are some of the things I've done. I am no close to what I want to achieve but I was able to have some of those that I only dreamed of.
Thinking and Manifesting. My friend and cousin Andrew took me to this training. I din't know what it was all about but I'll forever be thankful that he did brought me to that training. It taught me how to meditate and it taught me how to manifest my goals in life in order to achieve it. Have you read the book of entitled, "The Power" by Rhonda Byrne? It is basically a book about the law of attraction. The more you think about having achieved your goal in your mind, the more it will tend to happen. Read the book.
Bullet Journal. Have you tried bullet journaling? If you haven't and would like to know about it, you can click here. There are simple basic rules in Bujo (short fro bullet journal) which you can see in the site. But you can mix and match and follow of not some of the rules. I would say those are guides to discovering your methods in doing your task in order to achieve your goals.
Ted. Once a week, I try to browse through numerous videos in Ted to learn what others have learned. It's a fast way of learning how the world is evolving without leaving the confines of my comfort. I can be in America where they are having the conference, or I could be in a studio, learning the effects of music on human behaviours. By watching Ted, I am reminded that I don not know much and that there are interesting things out there for me to explore.
There are some of the things that have helped me become a better person which would eventually help me achieve my goals. Ultimately, in any goals you have it is important to set a goal that is SMART.
S - Specific. Know what you want.
M - Measurable. Set some ways, like a checklist, to review the necessary things you need to do to be a step closer.
A - Attainable. Make sure that it is truly attainable or reachable.
R - Realistic. Be real in what your goals are.
T - Time bound. When do you plan to achieve your goals. Set a date to achieve them.
