A recent study by Electronics Hub revealed that Filipinos hold the record for the highest daily average screen time in the world; spending approximately 32.53% of their day on their phones. Moreover, on a global scale, individuals spend a staggering 40% of their day, equivalent to 6 hours and 37 minutes, glued to computer or mobile device screens—a duration almost comparable to a full office shift.

Determining Excessive Screen Time
According to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), individuals under the age of 18 are advised to limit their screen time to a maximum of two hours per day. Meanwhile, for adults, the AAP recommends not surpassing seven hours of daily screen time.
To safeguard your eye health amid screen time, implement these practices:
Take Regular Breaks: Every 20-30 minutes, shift your focus away from the screen for 20 seconds, directing your gaze towards a distant object.
Maintain Proper Screen Position: Position your screen at eye level to minimize eye strain.
