Western Visayas LGU execs climate change seminar

"Klima," seminar-workshop for local government officials in Western Visayas will be conducted by the TOWNS Foundation in partnership with National Scientists and Academicians of National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST).
"Klima," will bring experts from NAST Task Force on Climate Change led by renowned scientist in watershed management and climate change adaptation Rex Victor Cruz.
Event will be held on Aug. 1, 2023 at Summit Hotel in Tacloban City.
It is intended for mayors, planning officers and disaster risk reduction specialists from Western Visayas, which has been tagged as an epicenter of climate crisis in the world.
Event is aimed to be venue for engaging local stakeholders in exploration and sharing of experiences on science and technology-based responses to typhoons, coastal erosions, coastal and riverine flooding, landslides as well as other climate change-related hazards.
Leyte Gov. Jericho Petilla will share local initiatives in climate change adaptation.
