Housing assistance for Egay victims

"Following President Marcos' pronouncement, DHSUD has already started processing assistance to people affected by Typhoon Egay, not only in Ilocos Region but also in other areas wrecked by typhoon," Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) said in statement housing assistance for people whose houses were damaged or destroyed by Typhoon Egay is being processed.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said over the weekend housing repair assistance and "emergency support" shall be provided to those affected by Egay.
Temporary shelter materials such as shelter-grade tarpaulins, modular tents and solar lamps will be distributed to residents of Regions 1 and 2 and Cordillera Administrative Region, according to DHSUD Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar.
This is in collaboration with United States Agency for International Development.
Meanwhile, memorandum between DHSUD and Department of Transportation for implementation of transit-oriented development projects was signed on July 28,2023.
