Thing is, I'm always on the lookout for events to go to that Raven might enjoy. Bonus points when they're free. So last year, I decided to take her to Dandenong Creek Festival at Tirhatuan Park where the lineup of activities included a reptile show, fishing, wildlife display, and live music, amongst others.
We missed out on pretty much all of them because we were late.
By the time we got there, not only were the event organisers already starting to pack up, but it had also started to drizzle. People were leaving if they hadn't already left. And it was awfully cold all the layers I had on were not enough to keep me from shivering.
But we made the most out of what was left of the festival. Looked at displays of Australian wildlife animals we normally wouldn't see up close and personal unless they were dead and taxidermied for educational purposes.
But the reason why we were late?
Because we had to stop at Mandy's for some pho and Raven's hotdog and rice. By the time we left the house, it was already lunchtime.
