PAL warns cargo scam
By J.Lo
"These are totally bogus…no such cargo shipments exist, and any related online payments will surely go to fraudsters," Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) spokesperson Cielo Villaluna said flag carrier PAL warned public of scams involving supposed domestic cargo shipments.
Scammers send messages through social media to lure people into making payments for shipments that had supposedly been loaded onto PAL flight, with some presenting fake PAL cargo airway bills as "proof" of existence of shipment, according to Villaluna.
Villaluna appealed to public to deal only with airline's legitimate cargo agents and shippers for any air cargo transactions.
