Servant leadership course for Catholic bishops
By J.Lo
"We believe this course will be valuable resource for bishops as they continue to lead Church in its mission of love and service," Caritas Philippines president Kidapawan Bishop Jose Colin Bagaforo said in statement Caritas Philippines Academy has organized six-day executive course on "Servant Leadership and Pastoral Management in Our Times" in Tagaytay City from Sept. 18-23.
Caritas Philippines Academy, designated by Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines in November 2022 as church's official teaching and learning institute, will be offering course for first time.
With this course, they hope bishops will be able to obtain needed skills and gain more information to navigate complexities of their leadership roles and promote church's mission of social justice, development, and compassion.
Course will cover topics such as pastoral management, governance, communications and organizational sustainability.
Course will help in improving and strengthening processes, services, advocacies, and accountability mechanisms implemented in dioceses. This will also help in professionalizing management of pastoral affairs in church.
