The Japanese are celebrated the world over for churning out brands and innovative designs—whether in fashion or otherwise—that are aesthetically edgy, albeit comfortably functional; relevant to the times, and yet timeless.
"Japanese fashion is always current, relevant and most of all, high quality—all of which are clearly evident in FRAY I.D.'s pieces," shares Camille Co-Koro, digital content creator, pioneer fashion blogger, designer, Fashion Week (NYC & Milan) mainstay, and the newly-minted Philippine Ambassador for the popular Japanese brand.
While Co-Koro prefers to side-step being ascribed certain style descriptives or to be pigeon-holed, there's a natural ease and synchronicity between the seasoned style icon she is
known to be and what FRAY I.D. stands for.
Case in point: "It's always hard for me to describe my personal style," explains Co-Koro, "because I don't like putting myself in a box. I think fashion should be fun so I'm always experimenting with different styles. But I guess at the end of the day, I would say my style is always put together. I love that FRAY I.D. is all about quiet sophistication and femininity, which I resonate with—especially now that I've become more certain [of] my sense of style."
The ultimate FRAY I.D. woman, the self-proclaimed minimalist dresser (but with a surprise accent here and there).
Speaking of closets, a sexy black eyelet bodysuit hand-me-down from her mom still sits in hers, and similar to the black-on-nude layered dress from FRAY I.D.'s latest collection that's on Co-Koro's current wish list, both designs transcend the style trends and endure the test of time. One will also find her closet is dominated by Spring collections, which, as she deftly demonstrates through her OOTDs, shares, "are just so easy and always playful"—both being design pillars of FRAY I.D, no matter the season.
Co-Koro's parting fashion advice? "Wear the clothes. Don't let them wear you." Spoken like a true FRAY I.D. ambassador.
