The Holy Apostles Senior Seminary (HASS) is committed to forming a new breed of Filipino diocesan priests from those who discovered their calling later in life.
Last August 18 to 19, the Senior Seminary welcomed its first "searchers" for the year. The "Search-In" is a stage of the application process that aims to provide discerners aspiring for the priesthood with a taste of seminary life and a deeper understanding of the priestly vocation. Two candidates responded to the invitation. They spent overnight, participating in the various activities at the Seminary. The priest-formators also had a closed-door conversation with the two candidates---one was from the Diocese of Lucena and the other from the Archdiocese of San Fernando, Pampanga.
Through the Search-in experience, the Seminary begins to accompany candidates on their discernment journey and helps them assess their fit with the community, its culture and formation processes and the demands of the priestly life, leading hopefully towards a personal and free decision to be initially formed in the Seminary.
HASS continues to welcome single men, 25 to 40 years old, with a college degree and a professional experience of at least two (2) years, practicing Catholics who are celibate and morally upright.
