She probably wishes she's still 37 but this post is 3 years overdue so she can keep wishing.
This was the time of lockdowns and stat celebrations in case another lockdown was going to be announced. These events almost felt like forbidden soirees, made more "exciting" by the unspoken risk that you could catch COVID from the people you were hanging out with.
But, YOLO.
We managed to get together for Krisfaye's birthday. It was touch and go for a while. No one really knew when Daniel Andrews would order another lockdown based on the number of cases on any given day. We all wanted to do the right thing but at the same time, Krisfaye had also already ordered food for the party and we didn't want it to go to waste. So I guess we got lucky that the Premier was quiet on the day. The only news we were talking about were the ones that we repeated to each other while cooking and eating. And eating some more.
It's the only thing we ever do whenever we catch up. Seriously. I watched Jeff's video and the evidence of me stuffing my face was right there in front of my face. There's no denying it.
Raven was only 3 years old then. My little bundle of cuteness woof-woofing outside the window pretending to be a dog.
This is why I blog. So I remember. So that one day, she would remember too. I'm glad Jeff does the videos. I can't do videos as they take a lot of work. But I have come to realise that videos have a very special appeal to them as well. I might not like the way I look but I love looking at everyone else.
