There are a lot of brands establishing their shops in Bangkok to cater the shopping needs of its 11 million plus residents and 35 million plus yearly tourists. With this supply and demand, Bangkok is considered as one of the shopping capitals in the world. We are enlisting some of our top 6 favorite shopping malls in Bangkok (in no particular order). 1.) Central Embassy
Location: 1031 Ploenchit Road, Pathumwan, Bangkok 10330, Thailand
Central Embassy is considered as an ultra-luxury lifestyle mall with full collection of high-end designer stores such as Gucci, Hermes, Prada, Chanel, Versace and Louis Vuitton. There are also a nice list of upscale food establishments inside the mall. For more information, you may visit the mall's website here. 2.) IconSiam
Location: 299 Soi Charoen Nakhon 5 Charoen Nakhon Road Khlong Ton Sai, Khlong San Bangkok 10600
IconSiam was ranked in the top 5 as one of the World's Best Shopping Centers. We visited IconSiam through our Shangrila Bangkok's hotel service boat. You may check the mall's website here to know more about this mall. (Swipe below photo for more pictures)
3.) Central World
Location: 999/9 Rama I Rd, Khwaeng Pathum Wan, Khet Pathum Wan, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10330, Thailand
Central World is one of the top 10 largest shopping malls in the world. It has currently a floor area of more than 830,000 square meters. 4.) Terminal 21 Mall
Location: 88 Sukhumvit Soi 19 (Wattana) Sukhumvit Rd., North Klongtoei, Wattana, Bangkok 10110
Terminal 21 Mall is one of the top interesting malls in Bangkok because of its creative concept. Every area of the mall is inspired by one famous destination such as Morocco, Istanbul, Japan, China, United Kingdom and many other places.
5.) River City Cruise Mall
Location: 23 Soi Charoen Krung 24, Khwaeng Talat Noi, Khet Samphanthawong, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10100, Thailand
Apart from being one of the posh malls by the Chao Phraya River, River City Cruise Mall also serves as one of the main piers for many dinner river cruises. While roaming around, we also encountered interesting arts on display such as below gigantic face sculpture of an old man. If you focus on its eye, it has the Buddha silhouette.
6.) Sukhumvit Plaza Korea Town
Location: Sukhumvit Road, Khwaeng Khlong Toei, Khet Khlong Toei, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10110, Thailand
This is a shopping mall specialized with korean restaurants and other korean brands. This area is also known as Little Seoul. (Swipe below photo for more pictures)
